The year began with a short report for Con Manning on some small leather finds from Clonmacnoise.
On going consultation with AOC in Edinburgh on the Drumclay assemblage as it emerges from the conservation process.
Another on going project for the National Leather Museum in Northampton. A long distance project using photographs of the finds – all shoe soles from the High Street excavations in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.
A short report on a single mid 18th century shoe from the Carrickallen Grid Connection for Dermot Nelis.
Currently working on an assemblage from The Coombe in Dublin with material from the late 12th century to early 18th century for ACAS. Some interesting looking pieces. It’s good to have the High Street photographs for comparison.
